Californians are downbeat about the California economy. In a recently released telephone survey of 857 voters conducted between Sept. 14 and Sept. 21, most Californians were downbeat about the economy of California as well as their own financial condition. The poll by the Associated Press found 93% of registered voters agree that California is experiencing poor economic times. Only 25% of Californians expect the economy to improve over the next year. The pollsters say the negative mood is the longest and deepest since they began tracking in 1978. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

You could very well substitute United States for California with those poll results....it is going to be a tough year
Hawaii is down but nothing like that. I am happy to be in Hawaii.
Hello Lori:
If we could just get the 25% who think the economy will improve next year to buy a house now, CA may be able to pull itself out by its own boot straps.
I'm just plain and simply confused with all the media reports. One day the economy is on the mend and the next day we aren't expected to recover for another 12 months...
