A loophole in California state law lets banks sue foreclosed borrowers for the difference between the mortgage and the property value just because the property has been refinanced.
California Association of Realtors has sponsored SB1178 to close this loophole, but big banks are fighting to continue to take advantage of homeowners.

Great post! Seller's need to be aware of what is going on. At least someone is trying to do something about it. Let's hope this gets passed.
