La Quinta California Real Estate: Signs of Buyer Resistance

Signs of Buyer Resistance

1. They make no offers or low offers

2. They do not respond quickly to emails and phone calls

3. They talk very little during showing

4. They show up for showings late or not at all

5. The ask lots and lots of questions. Even when you answer all the questions, they call back or email more.

6. They ask family, friends, co- workers their opinion until someone tells them not to buy at this time

7. They seek no lender assistance or the opposite of talking to more and more and lenders

Biggest sign of resistance is lack of action and inability to make a decision.

Once we identify the source of the resistance, we can overcome the resistance in most cases and close the buyer of buying.

I find that a lot of my buyers lack motivation or a sense of urgency.  I work with a lot of buyers trying to find a vacation or retirement home so they don't feel the same pressure of other buyers.

Another part of this is are they qualified?  Being motivated and qualified go hand in hand.

Good post!

We get them pre-approved before showing homes, but I agree that some people are not comfortable buying a home as high as their approval. No sense of urgency is an issue here too. Alot of buyers still think the prices are going down further. I sure hope they are wrong on that.
