Have you been down Blackhawk Way in La Quinta? Well do not feel left out, no one has yet.
The La Quinta City Council approved changing Westward Ho Drive to Blackhawk Way between Adams Street and Dune Palms Road in La Quinta. The reason why you ask? Because the graduating class of 2010 at La Quinta High School has taken pride in their school and wanted to leave behind a lasting legacy for all students. So no longer will students go to school on Westward Ho Drive, They will soon travel down Blackhawk Way. La Quinta High School is known as The Blackhawks and I am proud in these youth for taking pride in their school.
The senior class of La Quinta High will be paying the approx $5,000 for the signs and installation.
