La Quinta California Real Estate: Solutions to common time traps

Solutions to common time traps

1. Negative office make- don't discuss issues anyone other than those directly involved or can make a change
2. Indecisive buyers- if buyers are taking a lot of time, offer to put them on auto email of new listings and call you when they are serious about buying
3. The ability to say no. Determine if an activity will help you achieve your goals and if not, just say no.
4. Too many tasks. Create. A to-do list.
5. Demanding Sellers. Set up a plan ahead of time with sellers as to when you will contact them. Be proactive rather than reactive.
6. Unrealistic promises. Follow through on everything you promise. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Hi Lori, great list.  Number 3 is the biggy I think.  Learning to say no is an art form in today's day and age and a valuable skill to develop lol.

i think Number 6 goes hand in hand with saying no.  Honesty is key!

Thanks for the great input. In this market, I am amazed and impressed by how people accept and appreciate no and honesty. My area of La Quinta, California has been especially hard hit by the decline in the economy and real estate market as we are a tourist area.
