1. Plan ahead- the more that is done ahead of the 2-3 day move period, the smoother and easier. The move will go.
2. Sort through all items ahead of time and get rid of everything you have not used in the last 6 months.
3.Have plenty of boxes, blankets, shrink wrap, and packing material.
4. Have food and drink available in abundance for all who are around to keep up the energy.
5. Have a written plan and schedule of who is doing what when
6. Take a break- this can save injuries and actually help you work faster
7. Put stuff away as you go so you don't end up with a mess to sort out at the end of the day
8. All boxes labeled clearly
9. Organization is the key- you, the movers, all other parties involved
10. Have the new house clean before the move. It is much easier to clean before being loaded with stuff.
11. Relax and enjoy. There is fun and enjoyment in all of life. Each day is a gift.
