I wonder what the real statistics of our economy are if you take California, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida out and then calculate the real economic data. I also would like to know the real deflation rate for California, Arizona, and Nevada. We know that statistics can be skewed several different ways and that the economy is not doing well, but it seems that it is looking much worse nationwide than it really is. It seems that areas of California, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida have really made that whole country look awaful when in fact many areas are holding their own or even improving over the past few years. It is refreshing to see on the news that industries are showing profits in certain sectors, distressed sales in real estate are down, and unemployment is decreasing and more new small businesses are opening.
Even in our county of RIverside California which was just rated #2 in the state of California for foreclosures for the month of July, we are seeing improvements in the economy and even real estate over the past few years. Prices are very low, but people are spending money. Although we still see a few businesses closing, we also see businesses opening and others prospering.
This economy can be an opportunity for many people and businesses wherever you live. We have to be careful to not let the media and statistics skew our reality of the true facts of the economy, our area, our country, our life.
