I am interested to hear what my Active Rain friends feel the stock market fall will have on real estate sales.
I feel that for a few days it will pretty quiet. Then I feel we see improvement as interest rates are still low and people will start to come back to the feeling that real estate is REAL. We also have some control of real estate and also have something to show for our investment. With real estate it is always worth something. I have seen very few properties that had no value at all. Usually, even if you cannot sell the property, you can rent it and get some income. With stocks, if the company goes out of business, you usually get nothing.
I am sick of tough economic times, but for me, I still believe in real estate for the long term. I like to have control of what I own and invest in. Also, I feel people will always need a place to live
