Mys sister and her husband and my nephew and his family all live in Dakota Dunes, S. D. They are both evacuated from their homes do to flooding of the Missouri River.
They had 48 hours to move everything out of their home. My sister has a 3500 sq. ft. house and has lived there for nearly 10 years. My nephew and family - boys who are 1 and 3 - put all of their stuff into a 48 ft. trailer and have it parked at a parking lot.
This will be interesting to see how this plays out. We are grateful they are ok, but this is quite a loss for them and many other families too.
Hopefully, this will all work out and the corps of engineers will take measures so it does not happen again in the future.
