Results Of Study on California Economy

Californians are downbeat about the California economy. In a recently released telephone survey of 857 voters conducted between Sept. 14 and Sept. 21, most Californians were downbeat about the economy of California as well as their own financial condition. The poll by the Associated Press found 93% of registered voters agree that California is experiencing poor economic times. Only 25% of Californians expect the economy to improve over the next year. The pollsters say the negative mood is the longest and deepest since they began tracking in 1978. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

My Ears Still Hurt from the Alarm!

Yesterday I went to one of my listings. I studied the directions for the alarm which was in the laundry- a long way from the front door. I went as fast as I could from the front door to the alarm. I carefully did the procedure I was given by the owner and set off the alarm anyway. It was the oudest most disturbing alarm I had heard in my 10 years of real estate. Of course, the alarm company called. Since I was so shook up, I could not rememebr the password so they sent the police. The officer was nice but checked out the whole house. I was impressed. Then one of their friends came by to check on the house also. I felt just like an idiot and looked like one too. They were the only people who came to my open house- 110 degrees outside. I was so exhausted by the time I got home, I fell asleep so early and then had a bad dream. My husband could not understand why. I then slept and slept and slept. I feel better today- more my "take life as it comes" attitude again. No more alarms for me. Too much DRAMA!
